The magazine was supposed to be aimed at a sort of Alternative audience, but not fully mainstream.

One more thing

Here is a short explanation of these assignments.

The representation of Beyonce was to analyze how pop stars represent themselves in different music videos. As you can see, successful pop stars represent themselves very differently.

The second one was a textual analysis of a movie poster. This is part of coursework, and also is my first in-depth analyzation of a media text.

All the things I forgot to post

Here is a link to a google document with many different pieces of work I have done in media. By the way, Mr. Statham is the best media teacher available, and you should hire him.

Action Hero Representation

We chose to represent action heroes, because many movies include action heroes. Many famous actors play muscly, brave heroes who do not care about danger, such as Jackie Chan, Chuck Norris, Sylvester Stallone, and Bruce Willis. These action heroes are also extremely cool, which is another reason we chose to represent them.

The stereotype of a typical action hero includes someone who is very well-built, brave, and can never die. Most action heroes are also very good with guns and knives. So this is Niko's and I compilation of the biggest, best, and baddest action heroes ever.
